Al Jazeera Channel was the first independent news channel in the Arab world. Media in the Arab world, till then, was characterised by state-controlled narratives that denied audiences the right to know and the right to be heard. Having started with one channel in November 1996, now it's a network ideally placed on the world stage with its headquarters in the Arab world with over 70 bureaus around the globe, and more than 3000 employees from more than 95 countries. Al Jazeera has extensive reach across the globe and is available in over 150 countries and territories in more than 430 million homes.

Al Jazeera Media Network presents an interactive, 12K high-resolution 360° virtual tour that takes one to five locations; Al Jazeera Arabic, English, Documentary, Mubasher (Live) Channels, and Al Jazeera Media Institute.

The tour can be set to English or Arabic, Day or Night modes. One can tour the Al Jazeera campus by either following the arrows on the ground or by choosing a location from the menu bar on the side of the screen to directly jump to that location.

Visitors can learn how Al Jazeera is set up, the technology used in the studios, facts about each channel and institute in text boxes, and access live feeds of Al Jazeera channels. There are also uploaded corporate promos on the television screens within the tour.

As one tours virtually, they get to listen to the unique sound identity of Al Jazeera Media Network.
