About Project

The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) is proud to submit the redesign of its Clinical Training landing page for consideration for the 2024 MarCom Awards. As a national organization dedicated to increasing the availability of quality, equitable health care for people living with a serious illness, CAPC provides health care professionals and organizations with the training, tools, and technical assistance to effectively meet this need.

CAPC’s online clinical training in core palliative care skills—communication, pain and symptom management, caregiver support, and more—helps transform practice, leading to better care quality and improved patient and family experiences. More than 120,000 clinicians from all disciplines and care settings use CAPC clinical training to improve care for patients with serious illness. All courses offer free CE/CME for physicians, nurses, social workers, and care managers from CAPC member organizations and ABIM MOC credits for physicians.

To showcase its impressive clinical training options, CAPC reimagined and redesigned its landing page so busy clinicians and educators can easily find the content they need when they need it. Now, the landing page is user-friendly, divided into different sections based on one’s role (clinician vs. educator), and offers all content in a modern layout. Users no longer need to dig around to figure out where everything is—all resources that they could possibly need are now at their fingertips in an organized, well-designed way.

Clinicians can reinforce their knowledge, practice their skills, and elevate their palliative care expertise with CAPC's courses, learning activities, and clinical tools. This includes:
• Taking online continuing education courses
• Choosing a Learning Pathway by specialty, discipline, or topic
• Fulfilling the new 8-hour DEA opioid and substance use disorder training requirement
• Playing an interactive clinical training game
• Finding scripts and phrases for effective patient conversations
• Watching a role-play video
• And more

Educators can use CAPC’s clinical training solutions as a convenient, effective way to build workforce and trainee skills and achieve their organization's skill-building goals. They use CAPC clinical training for:
• Planning their workforce training initiative
• Viewing discipline-specific skill-building recommendations
• Creating and assigning custom Learning Pathways
• Training medical students, residents, and fellows
• Integrating health equity into your training
• Promoting workplace well-being

While the clinical training landing page is available for all to view, it's best to explore it fully as a CAPC member. We invite judges to use the login credentials below to access the content and engage with the courses.
