With a keen focus on community, inclusion, educational opportunity, and student success, Aims delivers the skills and knowledge that advance quality of life and economic vitality. Aims Community College is a fully accredited, public tax-supported two-year college. It has four campuses across northern Colorado, with an additional Flight Training Center location. Aims offers over 200 degrees and certificates from more than 50 academic areas of study. With more than 4,000 daytime, evening, weekend and online course offerings each year, students are able to flexibly complete coursework part-time or full-time.

About Project

In November 2020, the Marketing and Communications team at Aims Community College partnered with the idfive Agency and conducted a brand audit. The findings determined appropriate action items to take to improve the Aims brand awareness with the community, prospective students, current students, stakeholders and employees.

Any brand effort seeks to reconcile two seemingly disparate concepts — data and emotion. Defining a brand is methodical, yet chaotic. It’s pragmatic, yet electrifying. And when it’s done, it’s inspiring.

Aims forges relationships and meets students where they are. Aims offers a wide range of available pathways and is distinguished by affordability, quality and opportunity. And Aims reflects and supports the diverse communities it serves. With that, a refreshed brand platform was created. Our brand promise was determined and our voice defined.

Tactical items include a new college tagline — All in., a new style guide, a refreshed logo, a trademarked mascot illustration, and revamped student recruitment materials — a Viewbook and a brochure. All this took place alongside a website rebuild project.
