About Project

Serving as the Veterans Health Administration’s National Oncology Program annual report, Aiming for the Moon(shot): VA’s National Oncology Program 2023 Program Guide outlines and defines the progress and goals of cancer care at VA. On the heels of the reignited White House Cancer Moonshot challenge in early 2022, this annual report focused on three main themes: equity, innovation, and cancer screening. Bringing forward Veteran-patient stories along with inspiring messages from leadership, the annual report resonates with a federal agency leadership, and the Veterans receiving their cancer care at VA. The development process included multiple iterations of content gathering from subject matter experts ranging from physicians to data scientists to clinical administrators, while simultaneously developing the look and feel of the document.
