About Project

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Discovery, Education, and Affiliate Networks (DEAN) ensures our Nation’s Veterans have access to innovative health-care solutions by promoting medical research initiatives, training health-care professions, and developing community partnerships. DEAN drives continuous learning and improvement at VHA—from charting new paths of investigative medical research, to disseminating innovative best practices, to training future health-care professionals and helping clinicians sharpen their skills through simulated education.
To tell the story of the organization’s unique work, rapid growth, and broad impact across internal and external stakeholder groups, DEAN contracted Titan Alpha to develop its 2022 annual report—a 40-page booklet reflecting the many contributions of DEAN’s affiliate program offices and highlighting key accomplishments for the year, and particularly, how each training program, research study, innovation, or partnership reflects a continuous commitment to meeting Veterans where they are. “Meeting Veterans where they are” means better understanding their experiences of health and health care to expand access, improve quality, and be there when they need it most. As a metaphor, the uplifted hands on the cover support the unique world of Veterans’ health care and the diverse Veteran population we are privileged to serve.
To develop this report, Titan Alpha collaborated with DEAN communications leads, affiliate office leads, and subject matter experts. Our marcoms team managed the report design and production, from initial planning and storyboarding, to collaborating with subject matter experts, to developing compelling content, to designing, producing, editing, and sharing the final product.
The DEAN annual report stands out in the federal space as a well-designed, engaging product that reflects the innovative and forward-looking nature of the office. DEAN has received countless compliments on the final product and is proud to have an annual report that effectively tells the story of its important work for Veterans.
