About Project
Dr. Benno Nigg’s work in biomechanics, and his ambition to make the University of Calgary a global leader in kinesiology, inspired the Taylor Family Foundation’s investment in the Faculty of Kinesiology — as well as a close friendship between Don Taylor and Dr. Nigg that is still going strong more than 20 years later.
Their endorsements have helped make the faculty what it is today, and the Taylors are committed to seeing it reach even greater heights with their latest $20-million gift, set to establish a world-class research facility.
The Taylor Family has helped make the extraordinary possible at the University of Calgary. Investing in UCalgary since 1981, the Taylor Family's support now exceeds $100 million, and has helped the university compete on the world stage, creating lasting, positive change in our community.
