About Project

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Artificial Intelligence Institute (NAII) leads VA in artificial Intelligence (AI) research, implementation, policy and collaboration. The NAII builds partnership across government, industry and the research community to leverage and advance AI to improve health outcomes for Veterans and the general public. The NAII is committed to advancing trustworthy AI – AI that is ethical, bias-free, explainable and protects privacy at every level.
From September 7-9, 2022, the NAII hosted the Brain health and Rehabilitation through Artificial Intelligence Network (BRAIN) Summit to address the use of AI to improve brain health and rehabilitation. The conference highlighted how AI is impacting three areas of critical importance to Veterans’ health: brain cancer, traumatic brain injury and mental health.
Titan Alpha worked with the VA NAII to support the event and develop conference communications. From early promotions, through communications during the three-day event to post-event communications, Titan Alpha conceptualized, wrote, designed and helped the NAII release BRAIN Summit-related communications.
The creative design of BRAIN Summit communications stands out, particularly in the federal space. The interplay of an AI theme, BRAIN health and creative elements makes the products compelling.

Conference Goals and Objectives:

To reach NAII stakeholders within and outside the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to inform them about how the BRAIN Summit will advance artificial intelligence (AI) to improve Veteran’s brain health, in order to:
o Obtain the support and raise awareness of VA as thought leaders in the AI space.
o Educate target audiences on VA AI research, development and implementation.
o Deliver timely, accurate information to Congress, the White House and other strategic partners.
o Foster connection and collaboration among individuals and organizations invested in the AI space.
o Bridge the gap between AI and health care to explore new frontiers of opportunity, specifically looking at new ways to benefit Veterans and the services provided to Veterans.

Target audience/market:
The NAII reached out to medical, health care and AI professionals in government, industry and research institutions to inform and invite them to the BRAIN Summit. More than 500 participants from industry, government, academia, nonprofit organizations and other research institutions attended the three day in-person event.
