About Project

An entrepreneur with a passion for improving the lives of snub-nosed dogs sought to enter the pet category with a brand of his own: Snubbies. Inspired by his own bulldogs, Lunchbox and Pretty Girl, Snubbies’ founder came to MarketPlace Branding for pet category expertise, consumer insights, and packaging design.

Through ideation, we were inspired by the founder’s mission to honor and celebrate the uniqueness of brachycephalic dog breeds. With primary research, we extracted the unique needs and aspirations of the audience, then collaborated with the founder to define a line of soft chew pet supplements.

The packaging design mirrors the audience values inherent in the brand’s value proposition—an evocation of joy merged with confidence and quality. Vibrant illustrations and cheerful pet imagery exude the founder’s love for snub-nosed dogs. Custom iconography showcase key ingredients, conveying the paramount quality of each Snubbies pet supplement formulation. A brand-spanning blue unifies the product line, while distinct illustration and imagery differentiate each formula to aid in recall and shoppability. On the digital shelf, the brand breaks through with a visual identity unlike any other in the pet supplement space.

Infusing decades of pet branding expertise, MarketPlace created Snubbies’ visual identity and packaging—a manifestation of the founding vision for the brand, all for the love of snub-noses.
