About Project

ShadowCat is the leading developer of bespoke support yachts. Targeting UHNWIs, this ultra-luxury brand tailors to elite markets and leaves a memorable impression. As SHADOWCAT's agency partner, A.WordSmith led the company's 2021 re-brand and continues to support its marketing-communications efforts.

As shown in the SHADOWCAT-BEFORE.pdf, the company pursued new business using poorly designed collateral, including a printed brochure that didn't speak to the ultra-luxury market. With SHADOWCAT's yachts costing between $24M and $36M, it was critical that any new collateral be developed with premium aesthetics, materials and creativity.

As part of a total brand refresh (including elevated logo, print collateral and digital assets), A.WordSmith redesigned the company's corporate brochure (see "SHADOWCAT-BEFORE.pdf") into the new one shown, an A4 printed asset.

The new A4 brochure features an all-black cover with a subtle, yet eye-catching, spot gloss UV coating placed over the logo, which runs vertically up the front cover. This hard-to-miss detail nods to the "shadow" portion of the name, giving the brochure a dark, sexy and high-end look. When the trifold brochure is opened, the viewer is treated to a flood of full-color professional images and compelling copy. Metallic gold spot ink helps headlines pop against the dramatic dark page backgrounds.

This new brochure is used in tandem with the other re-branded pieces, as shown in AWS117-21_COMP_v2.pdf, and has been reprinted twice with only minor updates. Paired company collateral similarly uses all-black rich saturations, spot gloss logo treatments, spot gold inks and/or gold foils, and floods of professional full-color images.

Anecdotal feedback tells us that the printed brochure is a show-stopper and is one of the reasons why SHADOWCAT exceeded its lead generation goal in 2022. The brochures have been given out to potential customers during the Monaco Yacht Show, the Dubai International Yacht Show, the Abu Dhabi International Yacht Show, Fort Laurderdale International Yacht Show, Palm Beach International Yacht Show and other worldwide events.
