About Project

The Actuarial Foundation (TAF) is the philanthropic organization for the actuarial profession in the United States. In honor of its 25th anniversary, The Foundation’s “Educate. Connect. Change.” fundraising campaign aims to raise $5 million to apply toward solving the persistent problems surrounding math education and financial literacy.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, “Educate. Connect. Change.” was put on hold so TAF could prioritize sharing its free digital math resources with the students, teachers and families who needed them most. But in the fall, the decision was made to reignite the campaign, and this video was played at the virtual annual meetings of the Society of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries to:

Show how TAF has been meeting the needs of students, teachers and families during this difficult year with its free online math and financial literacy resources and virtual tutoring program

Demonstrate why support of TAF is needed now more than ever
Provide examples of the innovative and important work TAF does and the difference its programs make

Explain the goals of the “Educate. Connect. Change.” campaign
Solicit monetary donations to the campaign

Since the video aired at the two virtual annual meetings in October, nearly $70,000 has been raised for “Educate. Connect. Change,” which brings total campaign donations to almost $3.5 million.
