About Project
The Ringling Ghost is a 23-minute narrative film created to serve as a high-value, long-form promotional asset for the Ringling College BFA Film Program (a top 25 nationally ranked film school).
The Strategic Challenge: To address the need to attract the nation's most sought-after creative talent by building brand equity through original, high-level genre content that reflects the program's scrappy, high-level DNA.
The Innovation: The project was executed on a zero budget and was 100% student-built. The entire production and post-production crew consisted solely of BFA sophomores and juniors. The film was faculty-led (by Director/Writer Matt Gissing) but involved no other outside professionals, making this a pure demonstration of the program's technical and creative capacity.
This piece is a unique creative solution that addresses the challenge of attracting students by building brand equity through original, high-level genre content that reflects the small program's exceptionalism.
