The Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement (ARCQE) has been a cornerstone in supporting Alberta’s Early Learning and Care sector for nearly 20 years. With the ARCQEtivity website, ARCQE aimed to extend its impact by creating a user-friendly platform tailored to families engaging in bi-annual Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) screenings. The website includes many intuitive features, like a tree that grows as cards/learnings are completed. The website includes a sophisticated signup flow, which seamlessly accommodates scenarios for families with single or multiple children. Beyond its functionality, ARCQEtivity stands out for its vibrant and engaging design. Each section features custom-illustrated animal characters, making the site visually appealing and fostering a playful connection with users, making the website fun. These design elements not only draw families in but also enhance the overall user experience, aligning with the joy and creativity inherent in early childhood development.
